Ginger Garlic Stir Fry
This is probably our favorite dish. It's unbelievably savory, quick to make, has lots of veggies, and the ginger makes it easy on the tummy. A wok is ideal for making this, but any large pan would do.
Ingredients
Cooking
- About a thumb's worth of fresh ginger, peeled
- 3-4 cloves garlic
- Vegetable oil
- 1 block tofu - if you marinate this first you can take this dish to heights unimagined, but hastily drained is fine too. Cut into small bite-sized pieces
- Whatever veggies you want. We usually use a few giant handfuls of the frozen stir fry vegetable mix from Costco
- 1-2 tbsp shoyu (soy sauce for the less Asian-initiated)
- Light drizzle of toasted sesame oil - about 1 tbsp
- Furikake
- Nori
- Brown rice
- Chili garlic sauce - optional
Cooking
- Fry minced ginger and garlic in cooking oil until fragrant
- Add tofu, sautee until it starts turning golden
- Add vegetables
- Add shoyu and sesame oil
- Sautee until you feel veggies are done to your liking
- Dish over brown rice, add more shoyu and other toppings to your liking
