Instant Pot Refried Beans
We've tried a few iterations of this, but this is the closest we've come to the basic canned refried beans, which is what we were after.

- 2 cups dry, rinsed pinto beans
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3/4 cup white onion, diced
- 5 cups water
- 1 tsp veggie broth
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp Frank’s Red Hot sauce
- 1 tsp chili powder
Cooking
- Add all ingredients to IP, cook on high pressure for 30 minutes with quick release.
- Transfer beans and 4 tbsp liquid to food processor and blend until smooth, adding more liquid if needed to get the desired consistency. Might have to do this in multiple batches.
